Privacy policy

Last updated: 07/21/2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Jung Ventures ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information through The Pilates App (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect information such as your name, email address, and password.

Client notes. As part of using the App, you (the instructor) may enter information about your clients, including names, contact details, session notes, and limited health-related information relevant to Pilates instruction (e.g., injuries, physical limitations, contraindications). We do not independently collect this information — you choose what to enter.

Usage data. We may automatically collect information about how you use the App, such as device type, log data, and general usage patterns.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain the App's core functionality
  • Store and display your client notes to you
  • Communicate with you about your account or the App
  • Improve and troubleshoot the App
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data or your clients' data to third parties.

3. Client Information Is Your Responsibility

You are the one entering and controlling client information in the App. We act only as a processor/host of the data you input. You are responsible for:

  • Having the right and any necessary client consent to enter their information into the App
  • Determining what is appropriate to record, particularly health-related notes
  • Complying with any privacy laws that apply to you as an instructor (such as HIPAA, GDPR, or similar, depending on your location and practice)

We are not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA (or equivalent regulations elsewhere) and do not represent the App as a compliant health records system.

4. How We Store and Protect Information

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (such as encryption in transit and access controls) to protect data stored in the App. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Sharing

We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the App (e.g., hosting, cloud storage), under confidentiality obligations
  • Legal authorities, if required by law, subpoena, or legal process
  • A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

We do not share client health information with advertisers or use it for marketing purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and client note data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the App. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 8).

7. Your Choices

You can access, update, or delete client notes directly within the App. You may also request deletion of your account by contacting us at [Contact Email].

8. Client Rights

If one of your clients wants information about them removed or corrected, that request should go through you as the instructor, since you control what is entered. Contact us at [Contact Email] if you need help fulfilling such a request.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

10. International Users

If you access the App from outside the U.S.A., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S.A. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
